Joint forces and mobile courts yesterday seized huge quantities of fake engine oil from four factories all over the country.
In the capital, a mobile court raided Khokoner Mobil Ghar in Usabarir Basti in Postagola and seized more than 90 drums of fake engine oil made of burnt and contaminated lubricants along with unusable oils collected from different workshops.

The court led by magistrate Rokon-ud-Dowla issued warrants against owner of the factory Isaq Mia Khokon and owner of the slum Abdul Wahab for allowing such a business.

The court then raided another engine oil factory in Samad Mobil Ghar at Razabari in Postagola and recovered eight drums and five korai (cauldron) of fake engine oil. The court issued warrant against the owner Abdul Samad. The court also ordered to destroy the fake goods.

The mobile court later raided Diamond Engineering Works and issued warrant against its owner Anil Sarkar for not having licence from fire department.

Meanwhile, joint forces yesterday seized fake engine oil worth Tk 2 crore from a factory in Jalkuri area of Siddhirganj and arrested two of its employees, our Narayanganj correspondent reports.

The forces raided the factory, Shaheen Metal and Packaging, in the presence of Magistrate Manzarul Mannan and found that the factory employees were attaching labels of world famous brands on containers and bottles for marketing fake oil.

The joint forces sealed off the factory and arrested two employees — Sohrab Hossain, 25, and Enamul Haque, 48.

Later, the joint forces raided four nearby storages and found huge quantities of fake automobile maintenance fluids.

UNB reports, the joint forces in Faridpur seized 4.35 lakh kg of fake fertilizer from a factory at Komarpur in sadar upazila Sunday night.

Sources said the law enforcers raided Silver Cap poultry and fish farm at 9:00pm, seized the fake fertiliser along with machinery and arrested farm manager Golam Mostafa.

Acting Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture Extension Abdul Quddus filed a case against farm owner Abdus Siddique and manager Golam Mostafa.
