BNP expressed deep concern over the bomb explosions at rail stations in the country’s three major cities by an Islamist outfit yesterday.
In a statement last night, party Chairperson Khaleda Zia condemned the anti-people terror acts, saying any kind of terrorism in the name of Islam is not acceptable to the people.
She urged the authorities concerned to identify those involved in the blasts, give out exemplary punishment to them and take effective measures to check repetition of such incidents in future.
Khaleda urged the people to resist all kinds of terror and anti-people activities.
BNP Secretary General Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan also expressed deep concern over the bomb blasts.
Talking to the news agency over the phone last evening, he urged the caretaker government to take stern actions against those involved in the incidents.
Referring to religious fanaticism, he said Islam is a religion of peace which does not allow militancy and extremism.
The BNP secretary general called on the people, political parties, religious leaders and civil society members to build public opinion against militancy and extremism.
