Chief Justice (CJ) Md Ruhul Amin stressed the need for maintaining quality in delivery of justice in a bid to inject dynamism into judicial activities.
“The concept that cases would be disposed of faster if the number of judges is increased is not right”, he said at a meeting with the district Bar leaders at the local Circuit House yesterday.
“In this regard, emphasis should also be given on quality, not only on quantity,” he said.
He also exchanged views with members of the district ‘judgeship’ and gave them guidelines on judicial activities.
The CJ said it would be possible to make the justice delivery system fairer and quicker if good relations between the Bar and the bench could be established.
“We’ll have to move forward, upholding our social values,” he said.
