Money being donated to Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund has been declared tax-free as per a pervious government order, an official announcement said yesterday.
“Money being deposited with Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund will remain tax-free,” it said, as there have been confusions whether such donors could face unnecessary harassment while giving donation for flood relief.
The fresh government announcement cited the SRO (no-125-act/91) published on May 5 in 1991 to the effect of donation being tax-free.
Different organisations and institutions have started coming up with donation to Chief Adviser’s Relief Fund for flood victims in response to a government appeal
