NBR chairman transferred

The government has transferred the chairman of National Board of Revenue (NBR), Badiur Rahman, to food and disaster management ministry, a small but significant reshuffle in the administration.

Planning Commission member Mohammed Abdul Mazid has been made the new NBR chairman, said an establishment ministry notification today.

AMM Nasir Uddin, secretary for energy and mineral resources division, and food and disaster management secretary Dhiraj Malakar have been appointed as members of the Planning Commission.

The executive chairman of Board of Investment (BOI), Mohammed Mohsin, has been appointed as energy and mineral resources secretary.
