Anti-Corruption Task Force yesterday searched the Motijheel office of detained BNP leader Salauddin Quader Chowdhury.
A team of the task force went to the office at Sharif Manson at around 11:00am, searched it until 5:30pm and seized some documents.
The joint forces arrested Salauddin Quader Chowdhury in the early hours of February 4.
Another team of the task force went to the Shahjahanpur residence of former minister for housing and public works Mirza Abbas at around 1:30pm and stayed there for around 15 minutes.
Police said the task force members went to Abbas’ house to inquire about the age of his mother. They stayed at the house for some time and wanted to know her age.
Later, the personal assistant to Abbas’ mother informed the task force members that her age is about 80.
But, the reason why they went there and wanted to know the elderly lady’s age could not be known.
Our Chittagong correspondent reported that Anti-Corruption Task Force yesterday raided the office of QC Shipping owned by detained former BNP lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury in the port city.
During the seven-hour-long drive, which began at about 9:00am, the task force members seized some files, documents and hard disks of computer from the office in city’s Agrabad area.
They also questioned some of the staffs including QC Shipping Assistant Director Swapan Ghosh and its Chief Accountant Md Iqbal.
