Acting president of the Awami League Zillur Rahman yesterday demanded trial of the war criminals through forming a special tribunal and urged the government to deny the anti-liberation forces political rights.

“I’m urging the government not to give the Razakar, Al Badr, Al Shams Bahini political rights as they still do not believe in Bangladesh’s independence,” Zillur said talking to reporters at his Gulshan residence in the capital.

The AL leader said those who do not believe in the independence of the country should not have the rights to carry out political activities.

He also urged the Election Commission not to register the parties which misuse religion in politics. The war criminals must be punished, he said, adding that the entire nation now raised their voice demanding their punishment.

Zillur urged the party workers to be alert about the war criminals.

AL Presidium Member Tofail Ahmed said a national consensus has been reached about the trial of the war criminals.

AL leaders Syed Ashraful Islam, Maj Gen (retd) Subid Ali Bhuiyan, Dipu Moni, Jubo League leaders Prof Mizanur Rahman, Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury, among others, were present at the programme to mark the 35th founding anniversary of Jubo League, which was formed in 1972 under the leadership of Sheikh Fazlul Haque Moni.

Cont:- Also while AL in government, the issues of those criminals did not rise then, why now?
Bangladesh has historical problems of identity which needs to be addressed, before making any wrong decisions.
The people of the country has already suffered enough since Independence, either one man Shaw or dictatorship.

The care taker Govt cannot afford the time for extra activities & therefore must endeavour to
try those Extornisits & corrupted people already cought & those are still escaping.
They are loaded with multiferious unfinished work at hand and therefore must set a taboo not to
undertake clash with Islamic party. Watch what is happening to Pakistan Ruler.Let these muddled work be handled by the Independent Judges which may take place after election in a befitting Manner & under the code of Islamic Laws.
    Thank you.

Talking about war criminals will anyone dare to
call Upon Indian soldiers as crminals who were
dismantling a number of Spare parts from various Bangladeshi small industries who were challenged by Major Jalil. Beside they escaped with many valuables looted goods from various shops.
What about Bengalies who looted the shops of Non Bangali Muslims.Their Houses were occupied ,they were innocent but simply because they spoke a different language.
What about the criminals who killed Captain Rashid
who was owner of a Tea Garden. A awami leauge supporter whose son was married one of SK. Mujib’s relation.
Truth is truth ,You have to catch criminals who looted the property of Innocent Non Bengalies.
ALMIGHTY ALLAH stands by truth. Be they Muslims, Jews or Hindus. Try them on the HOLY Qurancic law not by the ill spirited forces of prejudice & hate.Read the Letter of Colonel Osmani written to SK Mujib showing his deep dissatisfaction when he resigned.
Bring all truth to forefront & do justice for all if you dare.
