Six more bodies of the day labourers, who drowned in a trawler capsize in the river Dhaleshwari on Monday night, were found floating on the river yesterday.
The victims were identified as Raher Mia, 40, Monjur Ali, 28, Julhash Mia, 20, Shahidullah, 30, Shafiullah, 25, and Billal Mia, 31.
Sagir Hossain, nejarat deputy collectorate (NDC) of Munshiganj, said the bodies were found floating near the launch terminal in the morning.
The earth-laden trawler, Trisha, with about 40 day labourers on board, sank in the river when a Barisal-boind launch, MV Bandhan, hit it at around 8:30pm on Monday. Thirty labourers swam ashore, while the rest went missing.
On Tuesday, the body of a labourer named Shukur Ali was recovered from the river. With the recovery of six more bodies yesterday, the death toll from the trawler capsize now stands at seven.
