As many as ten potato dishes were served at a lunch hosted by Army Chief General Moeen U Ahmed in honour of the editors of print and electronic media.

Gen Moeen is currently promoting consumption of more potato in the wake of soaring prices of rice. The country has had a bumper tuber harvest this year.

In all, 13 courses were served at the lunch following the army chief’s meeting with the editors at the army headquarters yesterday.

The menu included potato soup, French fries, potato corn curry, potato kopta curry, potato roller gravy, potato with spinach, potato malai curry, potato navaratna, potato pudina and potato pulse.

Besides, rice, ruhi fish and fresh salad were served.

    Mr Khondkar,

For your information, the Army Chief is running the country, he is undeclared president of the country. Mr Fakhruddin is just a puppet for Shaw, to the International Community to avoid sanctions but in reality Mr Gunman is the man of Bangladesh. International price hike no need to blame this unconstitutional undemocratic regime, as it is poor nation, we have a great history of thousand years, if you look back all of them looted us even after the Independence.

Lets not panic as his got the gun in his hand, in fact potato will do the job. The time will reflect as indeed to previous regimes. There are old saying in Bengali “Batti Sataneyr latti” and he is one of them. Silent wont last long, people will rise but in numbers and Mr Gunman will have no choice but to leave. Insha Allah
