BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia held a meeting at her Gulshan office last night with BNP’s top leaders to discuss party strategy in the opening session of the ninth parliament on January 25.
“We discussed about our stance in the opening session of the parliament, particularly on the ordinance that might be brought before the parliament for discussion,” a BNP standing committee member present in the meeting told The Daily Star.
BNP standing committee member Mahbubuddin Ahmed and Speaker Jamiruddin Sircar gave their legal opinions during discussions on different ordinances in the meeting.
Party’s standing committee members M Shamsul Islam and Lt General (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, lawmaker Salauddin Quader Chowdhury, Secretary General Khandaker Delwar Hossain were present at the meeting among others
