Family members of the victims of the BDR mutiny at Pilkhana formed a human chain in the city yesterday demanding fair investigation into the tragic incident and exemplary punishment of the killers.
With tears rolling down their cheeks, the grief-stricken family members said fair investigation should be a national demand. They sought support of the people from all strata in realising the demand.
They formed the human chain from Jahangir Gate of Dhaka Cantonment to the Prime Minister’s Office in the morning.
Talking to journalists, they said they demand quick punishment of the perpetrators of the massacre.
Meanwhile, a mourning procession was brought out by the retired army officers in the city demanding immediate arrest and trial of the perpetrators and the mastermind of the mutiny.
