The sacked workers and employees of Baghabari Milk Vita Company Ltd yesterday staged demonstrations demanding reinstatement.
They brought out a procession in the Baghabari port area and held a rally in front of the factory.
At the rally, they urged the authorities concerned to reinstate the dismissed workers and employees as early as possible. Otherwise, they threatened to launch a tougher agitation programme to realise the demand.
The immediate past caretaker government sacked about 400 workers and employees of the company during its tenure. The jobless workers and employees have been agitating to get back their jobs since the Awami League-led grand alliance came to power,
An official of the company seeking anonymity told The Daily Star that the sacked workers and employees held several agitation programmes in the last two months hampering normal production of the company.
