A high-profile delegation of Bangladesh Awami League left for China on Sunday at the invitation of ruling Chinese Communist Party on the occasion of the 60th founding anniversary of China.
LGRD and Cooperatives Minister and AL General Secretary Syed Ashraful Islam is leading the five-member team.
Other members of the delegation are AL Presidium Member Advocate Yusuf Hossain Humayun, Communication Minister and party’s International Affairs Secretary Syed Abul Hossain, Joint Secretary Mohammad Mahbubul Alam Hanif and Organising Secretary Ahmed Hossain.
Before departing for China, Syed Ashraf termed China as an economically developed nation and said through this visit, friendly ties between Chinese Communist Party and Bangladesh Awami League would be strengthened side by side with playing a significant role in Bangladesh’s development.
State Minister for Liberation War Affairs Captain (retd) AB Tajul Islam and State Minister for LGRD and Cooperatives JahangirKabir Nanak as well as senior government officials and AL leaders were present at the airport.
During its weeklong visit, the AL delegation will exchange views with the Chinese Communist Party on various issues besides joining the National Convention of China.
