Tanding committee, party’s highest policymaking body, reviewed the progress and preparation for the December 8 national council capping a countrywide reorganisation of the party Sunday night.

With BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the chair, the meeting at her Gulshan office discussed elaborately the activities of the subcommittees formed for doing the spadework for the central council.

“All the 13 conveners of the subcommittees were present at the meeting on special invitation,” a party leader said.

The meeting that started at 9:10 pm was underway when the report came at 9:45 pm.

Members of the standing committee present at the meeting include Khandaker Delwar Hossain, Dr Khandaker Musharraf Hossain, Dr RA Gani, Adv Khandaker Mahbub Uddin Ahmed and Shamsul Islam
